The Certified Training Programs/Providers List created by the Commonwealth Workforce Development System (CWDS) is a PA CareerLink list that displays occupational education training programs that have been certified to receive State and Federal training funds. Training programs and courses offered by a variety of providers are available on this list including those offered at community colleges, career and technical schools, and private schools. It links businesses and individuals to Pennsylvania’s workforce development and independent living services offered through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor& Industry, PA CareerLink, the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), Department of Public Welfare, and the Bureau of Employment & Training Programs. The Pennsylvania Apprentice Coordinators Association (PACA) has a Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee that provides information to help you decide if you have the aptitude and ability to train for a career in the construction industry. To supply all contractors with highly skilled workers including apprentices, journeypersons, supervisors, project managers, etc. 2. To facilitate a unique learning environment with varying instructional objectives and technologies. 3. To provide activities and resources that fosters a positive, comprehensive training environment. 4. To provide career advancement through a combination of classroom instruction as well as shop and field experiences. 5. To provide continuing education and training in the form of Journeyperson Upgrade classes. 6.
